Quality of Life and Personal Dignity

Over the past FOUR decades,  I have had numerous opportunities to work with patients and individuals who for one reason or another have lost their ability to communicate.  Many of them are stroke patients who have difficulties expressing their needs.  Many suffer from Parkinson's disease, and their voices become so weak and unintelligible that it is next to impossible for the caretakers to decode their meaning.  Many have Alzheimer's disease and are unable to take care of themselves.  There are also individuals with various  physical challenges.

The global community is aging, there will be more and more aged persons among us, and their needs are our concerns.  Aging with quality and dignity is vital to the overall well-being of human kind.  One of the most embarrassing conditions for the aging population as well as people with disability is incontinence.  Not only is it humiliating to have to wear adult briefs, but also it is more embarrassing to have to depend on caretakers to come and check to see if diapers need to be changed.  This incontinent condition impairs the quality of life and presents a major threat to one's personal dignity.

I came across a wireless patient monitoring system called “HelloNurse”.  HelloNurse from At Box Technology offers a perfect solution to this most embarrassing and debilitating situation.  HelloNurse monitors patients via its wireless alarm system, and it notifies the caretakers immediately when the patients need to be changed.

As a result, this system will provide efficient and humane treatment to those individuals who might otherwise be suffering from prolonged neglect and lack of care.

As a fellow human being,  I advocate for the need to have a good quality of life and personal dignity .  I pray that we can all age graciously and comfortably.  I think this product is one that is both timely and meets the unmet needs of so many.  I applaud the efforts of the engineers for their devotion to the development of this product, and I appreciate the vision and foresight of the leader of this group for making a difference and improving the quality of life of many.  My heartfelt appreciation for their efforts. Thank you.

Wellness assurance through Wireless Technology

With the advance in electronic technology and information technology, the world we live in now is quite different from that of our ancestors. We are exposed to knowledge and convenience unprecedented to any prior period in human history. As the human race conquers many obstacles in life, for instance, we no longer suffer from massive famine and contaminated water supply, gradually we eliminate many diseases from the surface of the earth. As a result, the average lifespan of the population improves over the last century. Still, the most difficult situation the elderly and the disabled face nowadays is the quality of life as one’s health condition deteriorates and thus become more dependent upon others’ assistance. We strongly believe that future health care system will perform functions other than maintenance. Specifically, we envision that the preventive and corrective functions of the human body can be facilitated via technology advancement, especially in the area of remote diagnosis and wireless monitoring. This is an area At Box Technology's HelloNurse wireless patient monitoring system excels and will continue to strike new grounds via collaboration with health care providers and institutional researchers.
